"There is no longer any need to buy this issue of "Kung Fu Meets The Dragon," let alone pay a high amount for it, as Trojan Records has released it on the collection "Dubstrumentals." The October 2005 Trojan release also includes two other Perry albums, so in total you get:
*KUNG-FU MEETS THE DRAGON
*RETURN OF WAX
*MUSICAL BONES
Basically with "Dubstrumentals" you end up getting three albums, in better sound, for the same price (or even less) as "Kung Fu Meets The Dragon" alone. Just wanted to make sure fellow shoppers are aware of this deal. Happy listening."
"This is kung... fu..."

"So begins my favorite of Lee "Scratch" Perry albums. Scratch is the father of reggae music's cousin, dub music. Scratch took elements and samples of reggae and, through a mixing process no one is quite sure of, turned them into semi-psychedelic instrumentals, complete with tape effects and occasional banter from Scratch himself. He worked extensively with the Jamaican group the Upsetters, who are featured on "Kung Fu Meets the Dragon." This is my favorite collection of Perry tunes simply because of the title and the theme of the album. I'm a kung fu fan (as well as a Perry fan), so the Bruce Lee theme of the record is funny and entertaining. And the music is excellent as well. Some great loops and good vocal work by the Upsetters pack the album full of good tracks. Since a lot of dub sounds similar, I don't generally differentiate the tracks by name, I usually just take a look at the overall experience of listening to the album. So lay on back with some friends, spark a bliggidy-blunt, and check out this album."
