Live Radio Recordings, Acetates are Great
Kevin J. Roberts | 10/24/2008
(5 out of 5 stars)

"I can never understand why some reviewers act shocked that vintage radio recordings, acetates and transcriptions don't sound like todays 40 track digital masters. These are great and Lee Wiley is one of the giants of jazz singing. Why complain about the surface noise on vintage recordings? No, these were not recorded on tape. The records ARE the master recordings. Digital improvement? The only thing they could do is degrade them if any attempt is made to mask the sound of the master recordings."
