"In 1969, Mickey Jupp formed a 4 man band called Legend, which was the first band signed by UK Bell Records (a label that later became Arista). This amazing LP was recorded in one day and it was a totally accoustic rock recordings. String bass, piano and accoustic guitars, yet it was a rock group sound with a rockabilly vocal style. (Very difficult to describe...unlike anything else around at the time.)
All of the tracks were written by Jupp, and it contains "Shindig", which was left off the US Bell vinyl LP, as well as "Georgia George" and "July", which were 45-only tracks not issued in the US.
This material has been favorites of mine since I discovered the album back in about 1971, and I highly recommend it.
It's a great sounding limited edition Cd from Repertoire, out of Germany.
Well worth buying if you like British rock of the late 1960's and early 1970's."
