She has recorded and performed with such legendary figures as Duke Ellington, Artie Shaw and Tony Bennett. The glamorous singer/actress was a sensation in Stormy Weather (1943); her rendition of the film?s title track was her biggest hit and remains her signature song. A three-time Grammy winner, including a Lifetime Achievement Award, Horne made Broadway history with her electrifying one-woman show Lena Horne: The Lady and Her Music, and was honored with a special Tony Award.
