Lenine is a two-time latin grammy award winning brazilian singer songwriter. Just like his multi-layered work combining regional, pop, rock, samba and electronic influences, lenine doesn't fit into a single genre. He has been touted as 'the brazilian answer to prince'. On his latest offering, 'labiata', there is a collaboration with a string-quintet (quinteto da para¡ba), on other tracks, we hear a soulful horn section and the band plap on the swinging 'e fogo', but what makes this album so addictive & exciting is lenine's marvellous guitar playing.
