"Tolstoy is one of the best writers in history. He writes with such clarity and has such keen insight that you can't help but be moved. I likeded this much more than I expected to. What was interesting for me was that this novel gave me a view of Russian history during the Napoleonic war. I found it both tragic and fascinating. I feel I have learned something valuable reading this novel."
