Very nice update of the Ware aesthetic

"I have been a big fan of Leon Ware's music for decades; however as much as I love his work, I have never been as thoroughly satisfied with his solo albums as I have been with his latest "Moon Ride". On "Moon Ride" he really brings it all together like the elder statesman he is and offers a master class on seductive soul music. All of the Leon Ware tropes are here - the whisper like voice, the erotic imagery, the soothing arrangements, gentle rhythms and great musicianship. This is midnight music to fuel your passions - each track works together to create a cohesive sensuous soundtrack. Break out the massage oil! If Marvin Gaye was alive he probably would have begged Leon to give him "Moon Ride" as the sequel to their "I Want You" project from the mid 70s. It is its worthy successor. Highly recommended."
Classic Soul from the 80s.....

"Leon Ware in a brand new album; If you are into the classic Soul, Marvin Gaye and the temptations, this album will do very well on your CD player. Leon Ware is a very experienced soul singer and he delivers a constant and tight album from start to finish. It is not a highly memorable album however very pleasant to the ears and soul"

"Honestly, I feel like this album doesn't really show Leon Ware's remarkable songwriting abilities. The whole album is fairly bland IMO, and overuses the romantic classical guitar noodles. It's just a matter of taste I guess. Musical Massage has a lot more variety and well-written songs."
