Les Discrets - Septembre et ses Dernieres Pensees

"From the seemingly incestuous French black metal shoegaze scene comes another amazing band, Les Discrets. Think Alcest with a little more edge and a more gothic kind of vocal styling. You have the crushing guitars, soaring melodies, and pounding rhythms, and this is an album for any fan of Amesoeurs or Alcest. Get it, show your support, and love the scene! Also, that cover art is bloody genius."

"I first heard Les Discrets when I got the split between them and Alcest. This is musically in the same vein as Alcest, Negura Bunget, or perhaps Agalloch, but it doesn't contain as much of a black metal side (at least vocally) as those bands, even though it can be argued Alcest doesn't have much of one either. Don't be put off by this, however. If you like any of those bands, it's almost a guarantee you will like this cd, it's just that good. This is a must pickup if you are a fan of this type of music."
