"I heard Lesley Roy on mtv's show Exiled. I figured to get the cd, and it turned out that I really liked it a lot. I think she is a mix between Kelly Clarkson and Avril Lavigne. To Me Lesley Roy has her own unique sound. I like that how she writes lyrics. The songs on Unbeautiful you can relate to in your own life.
My favorite songs on Unbeautiful are:
1. Unbeautiful
2. Thinking Out Loud
3. Misfit
4. Make It Back
5. Come To Your Senses"
Great CD

"I first heard and saw Lesley Roy on a VH1 video with her song I'm Going, I'm Gone. I fell in love with it immediately and then downloaded it. I then decided to order her debut CD after looking her up on Amazon. Wow, this CD got really great after a few listens. I love every song on the album which rarely happens to me, especially with an artist I purchase on a whim. This is one buy that really paid off. I have to say that the song Unbeautiful is my favorite. I can listen to it over and over and this CD has'nt left my car stereo in months, so that is something as I can get bored quickly. I guess Lesley Roy kind of sounds like a huskier Kelly Clarkson. Her songs are pop, but with a bit of an edge that makes them endure longer than the average pop song. Her voice can sound quite husky and rough, but she can also soar which is a wonderful mix. She seems super talented and I can't wait until she has her next album. I hope this one sells well. I highly recommend it."
Simply outstanding

"This album justs get better and better the more I listen to it.From the opening track I'm gone I'm going to the album closer Come Back this debut album from Lesley Roy is full of highlights too many to mention. This is an album of big choruses (title track and second single Unbeautiful will make you very happy indeed), great vocals(Come Back, Psycho Bitch,Dead But Breathing, Come To Your Senses)and a Desmond Child track (Misfit). An album two years in the making, it's been worth the wait. If you buy only one album this year then it has to be Unbeautiful. If you like classic rock tunes with great vocals the this is the album for you. Buy it, you'll be glad you did."
THE BEST ALBUM I HAVE HEARD ALL YEAR!

"Honestly, I cannot understand how so many talentless, non-song-writing "artists" are getting all the radio airtime when there are true artists like Lesley Roy just trying to get people to listen to her work. This young, amazing Irish youngster has the talent of someone twice her age. Her voice is like so few I have heard, her songs' lyrics are thought-provoking and each song will grab hold of you and not let go, they are so catchy. I am not a youngster myself, but a 38-year-old mom who just happens to enjoy music like Lesley makes. My favorite songs are:
1)Unbeautiful
2)Thinking Out Loud (which also happens to be Lesley's favorite as well)
3)Dead But Breathing
4)Slow Goodbye
5)Come Back (a crushing song about the loss of a loved one)
6)I'm Gone, I'm Going
7)Here For You Now
Of course, there are other GREAT songs on the album, these are just the ones that get replayed over and over on my mp3 player. The main rule of any album is "are there at least four completely great songs that I love?" then it is worth buying. I very rarely ever buy a complete album anymore because so few of them ever fit the above rule. Every single song on Lesley's album is outstanding which is so rare these days. Lesley needs to be headlining shows instead of being a warm-up act. Please spread the word about this phenomenal singer/songwriter so we get the privilege of owning a sophomore album."
