"A terrific freshman effort from chicagoland that I find myself listening to multiple times daily. Almost impossible to label, the melodic and catchy songs augmented by less commonly used instruments (accordion, ukulele, etc.) fall somewhere between inde-rock and country twang. Mark Janka is truly a storyteller, songs about things he and his closest have seen, read, and experienced, just on the right side of serious to make it spectacular. Besides the content, the packaging and presentation of the disk is outstanding."

"This record is a beautiful piece of folksy, country-ish pop. Mark Janka's lyrics are breathtaking, or dare I say genius! Imagine an American Belle and Sebastian, a country-ish Luna, & a happier Will Oldham and you are heading in the right direction."
