Almost a 5 star disc...

"The only thing keeping the latest Light This City album from a 5 star rating is a little more variation. With this being the third cd, I would have liked to have seen more experimentation. Sticking to their guns, LtC have created yet another enjoyable melodic death release. The At The Gates comparisons still apply, from Laura's vocals to the instrumental intro recalling Terminal Spirit Disease with more production value. For those new to Light This City, think At The Gates meets Darkest Hour with a (terrific) female lead singer doing the best Thomas Lindberg impression you have heard yet."
Excellent Melodic Metal

"This is yet another great by Light This City. Instead of abiding by the generic metalcore formula that many bands have been doing nowadays, they make excellent melodic metal in the vein of The Black Dahlia Murder, At The Gates and Darkest Hour. The intro track "Facing The Thousand" will leave you speechless, and the crushing melodies of "Cradle For A King" and "Maddening Swarm" will make you not regret purchasing this.
If you are a fan of the modern metal scene and you want an album that won't let down, "Facing The Thousand" awaits."
