This aptly titled CD, Unfinished Business, has been a long time in the making and I believe certainly worth the wait. The BlueBeats were a very popular regional band in the 80's and early 90''s and were in serious negotiations with a well known record label. This is their 2nd CD that they started recording back in '91. The record features the soulful gospel tinged vocals of Claudia Carawan. They had written all the songs and had already recorded 8, but sometimes life just gets in the way and things just don't turn out as planned. Well here it is over 23 years later and they're finally getting it finished. The record is a real mix of styles, 12 originals and 2 choice covers by Ray Charles and Louie Prima. Mercy mercy me, we got us some swingin', jumpin, funky-goodness!
