CD Reviews

I finally feel a need to write a review for this album
E. Phillips | 09/17/2010
(5 out of 5 stars)

"At first I never really thought I would have much to say about this album so I just never wrote a review. I mean, what's there to say about an album that's ten years old (and sold ten million copies in US alone) that someone else hasn't already said? This is one of my favorite albums of all time and actually was my favorite album of all time at one point. Of course I grew up later and realized there are better bands out there. This album is very simple but it worked and that's what Linkin Park needs to realize. Linkin Park is a nu-metal band whether they like it or not. I felt crushed the first time I heard Minutes to Midnight. It only has one song that I like and that's Given Up. The reason I'm writing this review is because of A Thousand Suns. If I ever write a review of that album I'm going to give it a one. It doesn't have one song that I like. I absolutely hate it when bands feel they need to grow as artists. I know one day they will make what the fans want to hear after they complain enough. Metallica and U2 finally came to their senses, so will Linkin Park. I don't know one person that likes Minutes to Midnight or A Thousand Suns. I don't think any of my friends even know a new Linkin Park album is out. When Linkin Park made Hybrid Theory and Meteora, everybody at school was talking about them. They were the hottest band in the world. I couldn't go anywhere without hearing about Linkin Park. So why they would purposely lose fans and destroy their image I don't know. They need to just go back to what made them famous, because if A Thousand Suns was their first album, they'd be screwed. People are only gonna buy that album because it has their name on it. Instead of listening to that, listen to Hybrid Theory EP if you haven't yet. It was made before Hybrid Theory and when they were actually called Hybrid Theory. So until Linkin Park comes to their senses, stick with that, and their first two albums."
