"From the start of this record, I knew i was in for something not on an average listening scale. the feeling was different from most from the first glimpse of the packaging (two sets of train trax heading off into what could very well be a close encounters of the liquid light being shed on this record). The slide guitar, the wailing melodies so delicately drifting in the background behind liquids smoothe flow on Pipe Dreams sets the mood for the journey of this recors. Pass me another took me to a place in a smoke filled environment with many characters from an under belly slam'n down pints .... It is visual. Masterfully dictated with inter cuts of reggae flows, soul melodies and poetics of an undscribable fashion. The title track feature guest DODGE, also of the Bran Van Family, and has him on a heart felt trip, assuring a loved one that there will be better days in September. Instantly a classic, this whole record made me remember better days, want them, and more than anything, it has a variation of so much and is put together so nicely, you have to give it a listen.
