"Lisa's ninth album, co-produced by Antonio Adolfo. Rio Bossa, released in 1996, is a wonderful bossa nova album, featuring Lisa and Antonio's arrangements of famous Brazilian songs. Highlights on this album include "Sambaduro" (written by I.Lins/V.Martins), "Deixa" (written by B.Powell/V.de Moraes) and "E Luxo So" (written by A. Barroso/L.Peixoto). Lisa consistently brings in the best musicians and production values to all of her recordings. Lisa has been described as a "Japanese Astrud Gilberto" but she's much more than that. This album, along with Namorada (1993), and Menina (1991) are a good place to start if you're not familiar with Lisa's music. (But watch out! Lisa's music is very habit-forming. Once you get started you'll want to collect all of her work!)"
