But the voice of the people will always prevail. This was without a doubt the proof beyond all that Lita could wield a might axe. The production on this, the second album of her solo career brought a balanced mix, with guitar right to the fore. There is a consistency of tone to Lita's guitar rarely found after Van Halen's debut. The rhythms just cruise and propel while the leads cut clean through the din. If you don't believe check the audio samples for proof. This album also introduced the world to Randy Castillo and it's easy to hear what brought him to Ozzy's attention. Lita by this point had tightened up her writing and found her voice convincingly and this album was rightly heralded as one of the greats of American metal. Wake the dead with loud guitars indeed!
