"There seems to be a very interesting 'war' going on in these reviews. Without stepping into that, I think there are a couple of basic philosophical attitudes to whether or not one might like this album - those attitudes revolve around:



1) The musical style is very different from both the Runaways and previous Lita Ford recordings.

2) This is very much a personal (and) family project that also involves a lot of 'candid' insight into her and her husband's romance.



While the music is different, I really don't see any validity to arguments about the music being technically poor. The composition and playing style may not be to one's liking but it's probably the technically best Lita's done to this date. She's continued to grow as a musician and improve. Necessarily this also includes an evolving style of music. I personally like it when musicians styles evolve, especially 20+ years later. If you're one to like the old style only, this isn't the album for you.



As for the personal quality of the subject matter, some people have labeled it 'immature' or 'stupid' or whatever. While it's not deeply philosophical with multiple layers of context, it's certainly not any simpler than your average metal or rock tune - especially ones that fall within the love or sex song categories. What it is though is very in your face and honest which may cause some unconscious puritanical reactions regarding such honesty. It might also be something that a lot of people don't experience: the type of passion that manifests in a decade plus relationship that puts the 'newlywed' passion to shame.



If you enjoy artists who allow their styles to evolve, and if you're not threatened or offended by sexually candid subject matter this is a good album. If you're also a Lita Ford fan then this is an excellent album."

"I listened to the previews, liked the general tone, and ordered the CD. It's here. I like the heavy style.



The album is genuine, where a lot of modern music is not. OK sure, I /never/ need to hear a guy-girl love duet ever again, with or without explicit lyrics. On the other hand, you get the feeling that "Bed" is based on a true story. Aside from the TMI moments, it's not bad. Musically.



Audio production is the problem here. Sophomoric songwriting, garage band guitar solos, and "close-enough" singing are normal aspects of rock and roll. But great tone is a must! Where is the kick drum? Shouldn't the snare have some attack? And that guitar tone does not do it for me. And you /can/ overuse that aural exciter plugin. Simply stated, the mix goes a long way towards ruining otherwise good ideas.



On the other hand, there's no question that when it rocks, it rocks. I'm declaring it a keeper."

This is the single worst album I have EVER HEARD!

"The entire album is dreadful, awful, appalling, horrific, horrifying, horrible, horrendous, atrocious, abominable, deplorable, egregious, abhorrent, frightful, shocking, hideous, ghastly, grim, dire, unspeakable, gruesome, monstrous, sickening, heinous and VILE from beginning to end.



From the first track forward, it screams BAD porno. A desperate, and hopeless attempt to regenerate career(s) gone by, with overly aggressive, laughingly written lyrics, they, Lita Ford, and her husband, Jim Gillette, go on to produce the musical equivalent of an armpit fart.



With virtually every single track, bombarded by the 50-something Ford's sex life, it sings more like a commercial for Viagra, than anything else. Though I would not suggest this as the lead track for any forth coming commercials, as it may just kill the market all together.



I personally wouldn't use this album to line my cat's litter box. So I'm just glad I borrowed it before I wasted my money!
