"No need to act a fool in public, 'cause when you, ego trip

"My review title pretty sums up the clever, witty lyrics presented by the talented Phonte Coleman on the classic "The Minstrel Show". Along with his partner-in-crime Rapper Big Pooh with a host of other JL affiliates, Little Brother demonstrates that refreshing, state-of-the-art hip-hop can still co-exist amongst the horrid, no-talented rappers who unfortunately dominate this age of TV and radio.
The main gest of the album revolves around a talk show parody of the album's title, very similiar to the radio show theme displayed throughout their first album, "The Listening".
The only track I find myself skipping is "Cheatin'"; yes, it's a humourous mock of an Isley Brother's song (I especially like the "Then I say eleven, twelve, thirteen, fourteen, fifteen, can't think of nothing that rhyme wit', fifteen" verse) but to me personally, it doesn't mesh well with the seamless production brought by the rest of the album. That snag aside, 9th brings his soulful symphony well orchestrated with Phonte's and Pooh's verses.
This album opens up an exclusive category for "ADULT HIP-HOP": real situations dealing with real life issues that everyday people can relate to.
With the loss of 9th Wonder towards the upcoming "The GetBack", Little Brother should be able to shine even brighter with fresh, new production. It's only a few weeks until the new album surfaces, and just maybe LB, who's considered a duo now, can cling to an even bigger fanbase.
I know I won't stop, can't stop lovin' Little Brother.

"This is real hip-hop. This is the kind of creativeness that the industry should regain. Extremely talented and should receive a Grammy for their work. Lil Brother puts the soul an depth back into the listeners ear."
