"paul and steve have got to be considered two of the greatest exponents of delta blues today.certainly the pedigree is there: paul having played with the muddy water's band, and steve playing for many years behind jimmy rogers. if you like your blues straight up--no rocks, no chaser--you'd be hard pressed to find something more satisfying."

"Blues harp extravaganza! I rarely write reviews but this album is so delightful that I just had to do it. Hands down my favorite blues harp cd. I was thrilled when I found this, I had been looking at a list of all 14 different harp players who played with Muddy over the years and I had never even heard of Oscher. I was overjoyed from the very first track
and the whole thing is just juicy blues fun."
Gritty Blues -- nothin' else

"I like clean music and the music here is raw -- gritty vocals, honkin' harp, clean base and guitar. No big band, no chorus, effects, etc. Go elsewhere if you wanna burn down the house or do some head-bangin', but this mix is great if you like that deep, soul-wretching damn-i've-suffered-a-lot slow blues such as "Sometimes I Wonder" and Paul's "The Things I Used To Do". Its a great sound -- and a great CD."
