"The Moon in all her majesty is a manifestation of the Goddess.
This music seems to be a tribute to that. It is magickal music just right for meditation, relaxation, and prayertime.
Mostly instrumental, it is very soothing but when you do hear the voices you can almost picture Talisyn reciting the lyrics as he professes his identity.
I play this disc almost every night before bed and say my prayers because I believe this music is a conduit to a higher power."

"I am also quite particular about the kind of cd's that i buy, as they are expensive here in South Africa. But I swollowed hard, dug deep in my pocket and bought this unknown title and took it home.Well - what can I say. I am listening to it as I write this review and all i can say is that it is Celestial and out of this world. I also love the song "SkyFire", and have an added kinship to it, as the singer has the same name as my Mother.I never regretted this purchase from the moment I heard the first sounds. A worthy buy."

"When I went looking for more music that would stir my inner being, I didn't know what I was getting into when I bought Moonlore. I didn't preview it at the listening station I bought it because I thought the cover looked gothic with the young woman dressed in a long black cape sitting on the rocks with a full moon. I looked kind of spooky and I wasn't sure if I was going to like it. I put it in my CD rom in my computer and was taken back when I heard the music coming from my speakers. I truly recommend this CD for body who wants to be moved."

""Llewellyn takes us on a musical adventure tale into history and reconstructs one of the legendary druidistic games that always took place under cover of darkness upon the full moon adjoining Samhain. The "Wild Hunt" was really the first major test for a young druid to test their skills and abilities working with the elements around them. The album is a journey that takes the listener through the trials and tests of a young druid...and into a wonderful romantic world of Celtic imagery and landscapes. MOONLORE combines keyboards with Uilleann Pipes, Whistles, Guitars, Piano, Flutes, Skin drums and atmospheric effects.
The Story :
It is late October and a night called "Hunter's Moon". The young woman looks across the beautiful mountains and lake that glisten before her in the pale rays of the moon. She raises her palms to the moon, takes nine deep breaths filling her body with the moonlight and feels a magnetic surge through her whole being It is time. She must complete her journeying task to The Stones before dawn. There are no directions, many dangers to encounter - physical and non physical - and she must work with the spirits of Wind, Sea, Fire and Stone to win her challenge." (from Llewellyn website.)
I've had it for over a year but just didn't "get it" at first. Now I do. If you love music that is beautiful and soothing, you've found it. If you like a taste of ancient mystery, darkness and depth and spirituality in your music, you'll be even more pleased with Moonlore!
I've always loved the mystique of the moon and this cd is in harmony with that spirit. Moonlore is mostly instrumental but their are some gorgeous, magical lyrics with equally gorgeous and magical vocals on three of the tracks. My favorite tracks are "Echoes of Ancient Stone", "Across the Loch," "Sky Fire" and my very favorite, with the amazing, soft yet strong male vocal that literally sounds like the name of the song--"Chill Wind."
The Chillwind
lead vocal by Llewellyn
I am the wind heard in the moonrise
I am the burning cold of night
I am four voices from every hillside
I am the strength and the might.
I am the chillwind , the midday heat
I bring the famine and the feast
I am the victory , I am defeat
I am the gold from the east.
Overcome your obstacles and...
Soar!"

"Definitely an interesting CD for your New Age library. Some tracks get a little cheesy at times but overall very good and occasionally transcendental."
