CD ReviewsTwo Fantastic Albums Together B.F. Spink | Atlanta, GA | 06/22/2009 (5 out of 5 stars) "I had both these albums on vinyl, but I grabbed this double CD as soon as I saw it available. Kent (Lobo) Lavoie is a versatile southern pop kind of guy whose style goes far beyond his first release (Me and You and a Dog Named Boo) and his only #1 (I'd Love You To Want Me). "Cowboy Afraid of Horses" is the better of the two original albums, but there are some great cuts on "Just A Singer" including "Armstrong" and his cover of "Rings". One of my favorite singers of the early 70s, I recommend about anything he did in his earlier years. "Of A Simple Man" -- his biggest selling album -- also contains a lot of great cuts including "Big Red Kite" (arguably his best recording) that was never released as a single." Wonderful T. Goodrich-miller | west virginia | 02/25/2009 (5 out of 5 stars) "I love this CD, I have loved Lobo for many years, this is a great addition to my collection" Nice remaster Daniel And Barbara Sullinger | Phoenix, Az United States | 01/06/2009 (5 out of 5 stars) "well this has to be a remaster from the source cause it just sounds to good just be an analog source, last time I heard this was on the albums, so much improvement in quality of sound"
