"Do you find yourself getting bored listening to the same music over and over wishing you could find some new music that is interesting? Here is some really interesting chamber music for you! No, you can not expect the same technical demands as the Op3 Concertos but this is come creative chamber music you will enjoy anyways.Locatelli was a masterful virtuoso and probably the greatest violinist of his time and was labeled Paganini of the 18th century, his music is lively, creative, and sincere. In fact, it is said that Paganini's first caprice was influenced by the cadenza of the seventh Locatelli Concerto Op3, with the bouncing bow technique.Because Locatelli was so creative, any violinist or lover of violin music will find this music interesting. I can't resist buying all of the Locatelli recordings that I find, every one is a musical treasure. I have yet to be disappointed with the great works of Locatelli. Make sure to get the entire Art of Violin Op3 by him, true violin classics.I am becoming a big fan of the Locatelli trio as they play convincing enough for me to enjoy what is being played. There is no excess vibrato and warmth to this interpretation and baroque purists will like that. This is a well-played interpretation packaged with a high quality production."
