The most clever, imaginative record I've heard in some time

"When you put this album into your CD player, Logan Whitehurst immediately whisks you away into a world slightly askew. With 21 tracks, he spares very little, revealing stories of his relationship with Vanilla, his snowman friend, lizards, fish, noodles, and volcanoes. This is a beautiful pop composition nothing short of brilliant. Whitehurst is, for me, one of those musicians you hope stays independent just so you can say "I know of him and you don't," but, at the same time, you hope gets HUGE so that everyone can hear what this talented young troubadour has to offer."
An incredible piece of work.

"I don't want this to sound too crazy, but this album is magnificent. Not just a good novelty or indie record. It's outstanding!
I first heard Logan Whitehurt at Reed College in Portland, Oregon. He performed live at a lecture by Dr. Demento, of the legendary Dr. Demento Show. I went because I was bored and left with one of the best albums I'd heard in a long time - Goodbye, My 4-track. The songs are addictive, the production is superb and the lyrics are genius.
A definite A+. If only albums like this would get more attention...
I would recommend this for everyone."

"All 22 tracks on this disc are pure gold. If you like TMBG, you MUST check this out. I've been listening to this record for almost a year now, and the tracks are still in my head. I don't mind though, because they are THAT good. If you still aren't convinced, Google him. There's an archive of his early out-of-print albums, which is apparently approved by his record label and his family. It's really fantastic stuff. Rest in peace, Logan."
Infectious beats and witty lyrics make for a great listen

"Logan Whitehurst, the über-indie pop genius, has outdone himself with "Goodbye, My 4-Track." If you don't mind switching from lizards and fish to robot cats to prosthetic brains (and back again), this record is sure to keep you humming all day long -- which may or may not be a good thing. The music is catchy and refreshingly unassuming, and the clever lyrics will keep you laughing out loud no matter how many times you hear them. The fact is, this record is just plain entertaining. There's no way around it. If you are looking for comfort after heartbreak or are angry at an unjust world, this is NOT the CD for you. If, however, you just want to have a good time, pop "Goodbye, My 4-Track" into your stereo and enjoy yourself."

"So, Logan Whitehurst, the best and goofiest man known alive, is yet the most pure genious. After seeing him for his cd release show, I got the disc, brought it home, gave it a listen to, and realized that he is one man that can put out a cd JUST as good as he puts on preformances. These songs are so fun-filled and boppy, yet you can still take him as a serious artist. That's the beauty in it.
I gave it 4 stars only because there were a few songs that I skip over, maybe for simply not being in the mood to hear them. But, I would highly reccomend this cd because not only do I love it, but my grandparents do TOO. (no joke)"
