"The entry states 12 tracks never on CD before. Not quite accurate. Tracks 1-7 are on the album called His Royal Hipness, but tracks 8-12 have never been on commercially available CDs before.



Lord Buckley was a prophet, wildman, charlatan, charmer and lots more. He was one of a kind. His recordings here from 1951 and 1952 are essential listening. Buckley's tales of Gandhi, Jonah and the Whale, Jesus Christ (whom Buckley called The Nazz), Nero and the rest are some of the most stunning use of the English language you will ever hear. Hilarious and most wise, too.



Buckley predates the other so-called hip comics, people like Lenny Bruce, Mort Sahl and the rest. His rhythms clearly influences all of them. But he is all but forgotten save for a fiercely loyal cult.



This year marks Lord Buckley's 100th birthday. Celebrate by getting to know a man like no other. You will be glad you did.

"This product was copied, without license, from the 1951-52 Vaya Records Euphoria volumes 1-2 Lord Buckley Albums. The European Union has passed a law that allows, what would be theft if done in this country, materiel over 50 years old to be copied and sold with impunity and then aggressively exported. It's a little like nations that sanctioned privateers in the past to prey on enemy nations. The materiel and performances included are the classic original Lord Buckley recordings.
