(5 out of 5 stars)
"Being a HUGE Stiv/Dead Boys/Lords/Wanderers/Damned/Sham 69 fan, it only makes sense that this Disc be an important addition to my collection.I ALMOST gave this collection a 4 instead of a 5 ONLY for the fact that alot of the Unreleased Tracks are nothing "new". For instance, "My Alibi" is "S.F.& T." from "Method..." with different lyrics. Others of the "Unreleased" are demo versions of released songs for instance, "New Victorians" is the demo for "Real Bad Time" and "Loyal to the Queen" is the demo for "Bang Bang Baby Maybe"."Never Be Another One" and "Wine, Women, and Song" are actually tunes we've never heard before, and this release shows why. Some songs are not released for a reason. They're just not all that good. "Route 66" sounds like an audience bootleg recording from a live gig. Let's face it, it's "Route 66". Done by the Lords. We've already heard Stiv doing this song on the re-issue of "Liver Than You'll Ever Be" earlier this year...or was that on "Night of the Living Dead Boys" re-issue? Hard to keep track. If you are a Lords fan, or completist and NEED to have all of the available tracks (like me) than by all means GET THIS CD. The bonus CD of the live concert at My Fathers Place on Long Island is great. I had this bootleg on a CD for about 10 years, and it's a great sounding show (recorded for WLIR FM in 1982....MUCH MUCH better than "Live At Spit" released in 1988) even if it is doctored up with some extra crowd noise (my original CD doesn't have nearly as much cheering).Frankly, for most Lords fans, the inclusion of "Mr. MX-7" (from the movie "Tapeheads") is worth the cost of the CD alone. Lords fans have been searching for a complete version of this song ever since the movie soundtrack came out WITHOUT the Lords track included (but, WHY?). I would hope to see one more "Lords Prayer" set come out with some more unreleased stuff on it, but I get the feeling that if this is what we got now, there may not BE anything left of really great quality. Can it be that the Lords actually did release EVERYTHING they recorded (of quality) when they were together???? This set proves that it's a possibilty!"
