"If it wasn't for my local library, I probably never would have taken a chance and purchased a LM cd. I very soon
after taking the cds back to the library purchased this version of LM LIVE. While i tend to lean towards Rock,
occasionally I will pick something up that there's been a buzz about, just to see if there's any merit to it. YES!!
I am hard pressed to compare this album to anything else, because, well I haven't heard anything like it. My
favorite live albums incl.: "Full House" by J. Geils, "Rockin' The Fillmore" by Humble Pie, "Mississippi Muddy Waters Live" and "The Name Of This Band Is Talking Heads" . Live In Paris and Toronto is now in my pantheon
of live recordings. The music seeps into your very being and takes hold (I was online when I first heard this
album on my cd player and it just forced me to pay attention to it.
While often ethereal, at times it "rocks", for lack of a better term. All the musicians are exemplary and the sound
is heavenly.
The profits from this set go to The Cook-Rees Memorial Fund For Water Search And Safety.
The music is transcendent and magical. Open your heart and make a space.
This 2006 version comes in a double slimline jewel case. The 1999 version that I checked out at
my library came in the bulkier jewel case."
A decent substitute for seeing her live

"This disc is a wonderful substitute for seeing Loreena live. What you miss on the studio album is the wonderful musicians who work with her. She calls them her "idling Porsches" and she isn't joking. It is truly joyous when they all get to just jam on the second disc."
