"Through serendipity I came across this artist who I had never heard of before. She has been singing for quite awhile, but her recording output has been spotty. I took a chance on this cd, intrigued by the AMG biography of the artist and attracted by some of the songs, a mixture of standards and sixties pop. This cd is being released for the first time; taken from some radio tapes recorded in 1968. The west coast band is unfortunately unknown, but all competent musicians. The marvel is this soulful, jazz vocalist. She is a wonderful singer, warm, emotional and with a real feel for interpretive jazz. She does a great job on The best is yet to come, a bouncy I'll remember April, and emotional interpretations of Alfie and Didn't we. A wonderful find, and here is hoping this singer finally gets the accolades she deserves."
