CD ReviewsA must-have CD for anyone who loves singer-songwriters Steven J. Devlin | Bryn Mawr, PA USA | 02/03/2004 (5 out of 5 stars) "In 1995 I was lucky enough to attend a listening party when this artist previewed Home of Whispers. Since then it has remained one of my all time favorite CDs. Her voice is unique among singer song-writers. When it is combined with the wonderful words of her songs and gorgeous melodies, it brings tears to my eyes each time I listen. "Girl Writing a Letter" is fantastic! She is the ying to Christine Lavin's yang. Check out Home of Whispers and the other CDs available at her web site http://www.lorilieberman.com/" Lori Lieberman: Worth more than just whispers. Cheryl H. Long | 06/26/2006 (4 out of 5 stars) "I bought "Home of Whispers" on a gamble. I was first introduced to Lori Lieberman 15 years when a coworker loaned me her first album, "Lori Lieberman." I fell in love with Lori's voice from the first moment I heard it, and wondered why I had never heard of her before! I eventually bought that album, and 3 others after that. Even though I had never heard "Home of Whispers," I still loved Lori's voice, and was impressed with all the 5-star ratings, so I figured it was worth the gamble. Thankfully, I wasn't disappointed. While I wasn't quite as fond of "Simple Things" or "Chain Of Need" as I was some of the other tracks on the album, I still enjoyed the album as a whole immensely. Not only does Lori still have a gorgeous voice as always, but her songs have beautiful melodies and wonderful instrumental arrangements. I especially liked the title track, "Home of Whispers," as well as "Something Of My Own," "These Eyes," "Girl Writing a Letter" and "Roots and Wings." Her style on this album reminds me a little of a cross between Eva Cassidy, Judy Collins and Joni Mitchell. Very beautiful and relaxing. Definitely worth buying. " The Enchantress with the lovely voice........ William Schmidt | 01/21/2006 (5 out of 5 stars) "In 1974, The lovely lady that I was going with, introduced me to Lori Lieberman, singer-songwriter, her favourite. I have been entranced by her voice, ever since. Her voice can still send shivers down my spine, even with the later releases."
