"Naxos is a real phenomena for the jazz scene. The best of jazz but the least of price. That's really nice... Led by Mike Nock (gifted pianist and composer from New Zealand) the "Naxos Project" presents a hit again: Los Angeles Jazz Quartet...
Larry Koonse on guitar, Chuck Manning on tenor saxophone, Darek 'Oles' Oleskiewicz on bass and Kevin Tullius on drums. I haven't heard any of them until I bought this CD. They're not familiar to Turkish jazz fans. But their music opens new horizons both in interpration of standards and in original compositions. My favorite is Round' Midnight with a "dark and horny" interpretation...
PS: This is my 20th Naxos CD and now I can recommend that you can buy all the Naxos CD's in confidence. They're real jazz performed in its best and dynamic form with fresh voices..."
