The tip of the iceberg

"I'll admit that when it comes to Arthur Lee and Love, I am a completist. Therefore, I would warn against anybody buying a compilation of their first four albums, since it will only make you want to buy the complete albums. I read the comments previously made about this collection, and I agree that "Mushroom Clouds" is a noticable omission. However, as everyone knows, to listen to an incomplete "Forever Changes" is a crime ("The Red Telephone" is one of my favorites, and is also missing.) Now, if finances are your excuse, the Love Story collection has a complete "Forever Changes" so at least buy that over this disc. But trust me, you will regret not investing in the complete albums. I made that mistake with Nick Drake when I bought "Way to Blue" only to go on and buy each of his albums and make the first purchase a waste of money."

"Love is one of the most overlooked bands of the late 60's. Their first three albums are all classics. If you only want one disc by them, this is the one. The only song I wish was on here that isn't is "Maybe the People Would Be the Times (Between Clark and Hilldale)". Still great though."
