"If you've lumped Arthur Lee in with Syd Barrett, Skip Spence, Roky Erickson, Peter Green, Brian Wilson, et al., FORGET IT. This is no sympathy vote. This is a man who's in full control of his musical abilities thirty plus years after he and Love created their Forever Changes masterpiece. Backing Lee are Baby Lemonade and a string and horn section who manage an astonishing recreation of the album and other Love classics. Lee and the band are in top form (though somewhat subdued, possibly due to the filming and recording). However, when the one time King of the Sunset Strip returned for a show at the House of Blues (Lee remarked "last time I was here it was called Stratford's on the Strip"), he and the band were absolutely on (there is a video of this floating around). Get this and/or the DVD, you won't be disappointed."
