""All you need is love" is a bonbon of a compilation to support the worthy cause of combating HIV/AIDS in Africa with Project RED. It opens with an ensemble of global musicians, Playing for Change, singing the Beatles' "All you need is love." U2 combines Prokofiev with holiday sentiments in "I believe in Father Christmas." It's a subtle,bittersweet song that actually works. Bono sings with sincerity. The Dave Matthews Band's acoustic version of their song "You and Me" is more of a thoughtful lullaby than the whiny version heard on Top 40 radio. It closes with John Legend's soulful cover of Bob Marley's "Redemption Song." "All you need is love" is tantalizingly delightful--it's only 15 minutes long.
