CD Reviews

Enchanting mystical romp through celestial clouds.
Neal C. Reynolds | 10/23/1999
(5 out of 5 stars)

"This music found me, discovered an empty space within me and filled it with warm and transient melodies. It introduced a hunger I hadn't known existed. I am inspired to acquire the remaining two volumes of her trilogy. I feel the Reiki infused energy radiating off of each and every note! I highly suggest this for spiritual healing!"
ENERGIZING, SPIRITUAL, AND BEAUTIFUL
Neal C. Reynolds | Indianapolis, Indiana | 05/27/2001
(5 out of 5 stars)

"This CD starts out on an energetic note, and throughout, delivers energy. The sound is terrific: the use of musical instruments, many which I have never heard used before, plus the use of the female voice as an instrument creates a music which surrounds and carries a person. There are many moments of exquisite beauty, especially the "Celestial Beauty" track and the edited reprise (I believe these are the only tracks that Lucia sings on...I'll need to check the album notes to be sure) and "Golden Light". But there are no truly low points in this album. This is an album good for background during bodywork, studying, or for starting the day in an invigorating manner. The other vocalists besides Lucia are equally fantastic, as are Lucia's performances on various instruments, as is the performance of each musician involved. This is world music, heavily influenced by music of Tibet, Asia, Brazil and Africa, therefore unusual to many American music buyers, but I am sure you will love it as I do.This album is the first of a trilogy...I recommend all of them."
Mystical sounds transport to other realms
Neal C. Reynolds | 08/31/1999
(5 out of 5 stars)

"Lucia Hwong's music is transporting. Its exotic and haunting sounds take you to places unknown and let you linger there a while. A wonderful music experience."
