CD ReviewsSublime! I feel Irie!! Dazz | Netherlands | 07/29/2004 (5 out of 5 stars) "Lucky dube is one of the best reggae artist of this time. He sings his songs so relaxed, and still emotional. Not affraid to describe his feelings about politics, and yet so optimistic. This album takes you to another level.Troubles dissapear with a song like Feel Irie. Hopes is there in Peace Perfect Peace. The rest of the songs have a really strong message. A message of hope, peace, love and understanding. My favourite song is probabaly It's Not Easy. A song about a relationship that went wrong wrapped in a telephone call with his mother." The Father M. St Prix | St. John, USVI | 10/20/2007 (5 out of 5 stars) "Lucky will be remembered forever. The best reggae artist to date out of Africa. You're my hero lucky..May the father up above watch over you and his people..Rest in Peace Lucky...Luv Always... Rastafari" Even non-reggae fans should check out this one Aniekan | Syracuse, NY | 10/30/2008 (5 out of 5 stars) "I imagine you're reading this because you're not African, because every true African knows Lucky Dube. Okay don't get mad at me if you're African, I'm just teasin. I love music and I think in music and I'm very selective when it comes to listening. Bob Marley, Marvin Gaye and Michael Jackson (regardless of what you think of him - listen to the track "Speechless" if you don't believe me) are my favorite singers. Lucky is also definitely on that list. His beautiful voice takes you on a journey deep into the pathos of the black South African's experience. There's no pretension in these songs. They're reality. And so beautiful. Beyond reggae, Lucky sang about life. Listen for those high notes. I thought it was a lady singing those parts until I saw the video and realized it was Lucky himself! I bet you won't be able to stop listening after you've listened a few times. Let it grow on you if this genre is new to you. If you're like me and grew up hearing Lucky, then you definitely want to pick this one up. My favorite is... oh that's too hard. Some of my favorites are "Oh my son" (especially the intro!), "remember me" and "Peace, Perfect Peace". ENJOY! (Lucky was killed last year, unfortunately)"
