"Luigi Archetti's "Das Ohr" (or "The Ear" for you non-german speaking folk) is a wonderous collection of 35 short (26 seconds to 4 minutes) songs, each dedicated to a different sound and function of the ear. Granted you may have to search around in an anatomy book for what each thing is, but hey! it's a great listen. The songs range from strange noodling sounds to interesting little jams to a beautiful and sad melody ("Runde Fenster") Each track is bold and different, and will make you look at the way that you can make sounds with a guitar. According to the Billboard Guide to Progressive Music, all the sounds on this recording were created by a guitar in some strange way (hard to believe, until you sit down and really listen to it). The album might not be good for a drive down the road, but it's an interesting treat for your ears when you want to listen to something vastly different."
