"I'm amazed at how "el sol" can still sing his heart out in every single song in the album! Being his first mariachi album, it came out as everyone expected it...EXCELLENT. "Entrega Total", "Un mundo raro", "Cielo Rojo" being my personal favs! Way to go LM!"
The more I listen the more I like LM

"..

First and foremost, Luis Miguel is mexican, raised in México, formed as an artist in México, mexican by own choice also.

I never really appreciated LM's music until I listened his boleros from Agustin Lara, Manzanero, Jose Alfredo, although I always knew his voice is absolutely powerful and unique, but with this one the more I listen the more I like his deeds.....

Luis Miguel has no "boricuan" roots , in that case he could have more italian or spanish roots, but Luis Miguel was born in P. Rico by accident and never lived or wanted to live there....

Now, going back to my review, This álbum is a total masterpiece, performing songs from the best mexican composer like "Un Mundo Raro" and "Paloma Querida" From Jose A. Jimenez (another true mexican), or "Que Seas Feliz" from 'the great' Consuelo Velázquez (mexican) among Many others this álbum takes Luis Miguel to a higher level. From pop singer to Bolero singer and now A true legend that will remain in México's heart for good. On behalf the mexican people from Guadalajara, Congratulations .....Cheers Luis Miguel!! and keep up your style , not too much talking and a lot of singing!!! From your countryman fellows.

To the person who wrote the review about "Boricuan Roots" the álbum title says "Mexico In The Skin" that means roots are 'mexican roots' and there will never be even a "Puerto Rico In My Documents" absolutely never. On your comment saying "this album proves that LM is a very versatile artist" cut it off please , as any mexican, or any Latin american with a bit of cultural aknowledge would know, "La música ranchera" is one of the most beautiful styles, rythms and ways of expression in America, amongst Tango, Bolero, Casino (a.k.a. Salsa) etc. This album only proves Luis Miguel as a mexican paying tribute to his culture, to the great mexican music scene confirming Luis Miguel has an exquisite taste on the songs he will sing next, with which he finally got to this sort of music and the high level his voice demands."
A must have!

"Being from Mexico City I have to say that this CD is an excellent representation of the beautiful and incomparable mariachi music. Most of the songs are classical Mariachi songs that you will hear everywhere in Mexico. Luis Miguel puts his whole soul in each and every one of the songs. Also the arrangements are really good and the whole CD sounds so cheerful and refreshing that you will want to hear it again and again!"
