Harris Should Be Better Recognized!
Severe Tire Damage | Connecticut, USA | 02/04/2007
(5 out of 5 stars)

"Mick Harris (who is better known for N.D. and Scorn) has had this side-project in Lull going for awhile now.

It really isn't music for the uninitiated. The grouping of this type of music under "Dark Ambient" is appropos. It's environmental drone music that sets a feeling of dread and almost despair with attentive listening. Getting down with Lull is like knowing some bad mojo is locked-and-loaded, with you targeted in the crosshairs. But maybe it isn't just you set for a monstrous fall; maybe it's bigger and on an epic scale where you, your friends and the whole world are unbalanced while walking a thin path overlooking the dark abyss.

Make no mistake, Lull is powerful music not to be used as mere background noise. It's a transforming music that morphs your mood and seeps into your soul.

Yeah, there are other projects that claim dark ambient content; but they might be better off paying homage to the master."
