Synopsis

Album Description
After accomplishing a long successful run in the music industry, most groups cap off an explosive career by releasing a Greatest Hits compilation. Unlike the Backstreet Boys and Led Zeppelin however, The Luniz are taking a different approach. The Oakland duo, comprised of Yukmouth and Numskull, only dropped three albums and thought now was the time to drop their Greatest Hits album. Quite frankly, it was a good move and really, it's a win-win situation. The Luniz can roll in the dough by re-releasing popular songs and heads won't have to skip over previous lackluster efforts. The whole disc is comprised of their best songs from 95's Operation Stackola, `97's Lunitik Muzik and 2002's Silver and Black including their earlier standouts 'Playa Hata' and 'I Got 5 On It.' The Luniz also decided to include the ballers' anthem 'Oakland Raider,' where they talk about their city and hometownies who made an impact. Yukmouth spits lines like, ''From the Ville to Seminary to the Rollin' Twenties/Wit' ghetto celebrities, like Big Feek & Lil' D,'' and Numskull later picks up where he leaves off by rapping, ''En Vogue was some fine ass Oakland Raidettes/And Too Short was the first Oakland Raider on the set/Now Pooh-Man was a Raider when he was fuckin' wit' dank/And Askari X was a Raider when he was a ward of the state.''
