"Every recording from the years when she was on the MAM record label is included plus some of the singles from the Jet and Polydor years. As well as the hits (Sugar Me, No Honestly, Getting A Drag, Won't Somebody Dance With Me, Rock Bottom etc) there are some interesting tracks like the extended versions of All Night and Hug and Squeeze Me as well as the German version of Rock Bottom (Für Immer). The album version of Sugar Me and a demo version of Won't Somebody Dance With Me are substituted for the singles. A must for Lynsey fans!"

Seventies easy listening British pop singer

"Lynsey always considered herself first and foremost a songwriter (in which capacity she had a UK top ten hit after the Fortunes recorded Storm in a teacup) although she has a good soprano voice.



As a singer, Lynsey had a top ten UK hit in 1972 with her first single, Sugar me, following it up with the top twenty hits Getting a drag (about the glam-rock music scene) and Won't somebody love me. She switched record labels from MAM to Warner, scoring a top thirty hit with Ooh I do. Another switch, this time to Jet, returned Lynsey to the top ten with No honestly, the theme to a TV series. A minor hit, My man and me, followed in March 1975. Love bomb, a single released later that year, received plenty of airplay but failed to chart. Lynsey teamed up with Mike Moran to represent Britain in the 1977 Eurovision song contest, in which they were runners-up with Rock bottom. It barely made the UK top twenty despite all the publicity - and it was on yet another different label (Polydor).



If you enjoy such British groups as Guys 'n' dolls, Brotherhood of man and the New Seekers, you will probably enjoy Lynsey's music too."
