Jason T. (awesomejt) from KISSIMMEE, FL Reviewed on 2/13/2011... Required for any classic rock or southern rock fan. Very complete greatest hits album -- something that other hits albums aspire to be but fail. Go to Amazon or iTunes to sample the songs -- you'll be amazed how many familiar tunes are Lynyrd Skynyrd tunes. 2 of 2 member(s) found this review helpful.
Jim P. (Guitarmusiclover11) from BRUCE, WI Reviewed on 2/13/2011... This is the Essential Skynyrd set!
The only personal favorite missing from this set is "Don't Ask Me No Questions".
There are two versions of "Freebird";the live and the studio versions.
While there are some great songs missing, the selection includes a lot of most popular best songs.
This is an excellent collection with all of the staples. Can't go wrong picking this 2 cd set up! Christine C. (bolinbabe) from BRANFORD, CT Reviewed on 1/29/2007... Great songs, classic band. Long live the original line-up, which beats the current line-up by a country mile (sorry, Johnny). If you want a varied taste of Skynyrd, then this 2-disc set was created just for you!

Its all good classic rock fan | 09/23/2007 (5 out of 5 stars) "i'll make this quick this is probably enough l.s. for any but the most hardcore fans you get all the hits and some good deep cuts it all rocks and is well worth the purchase. that being said my only probelm with this set is that it doesn't include "dont ask me no questions" a song i love but it does in clude two versions of free bird. i would have liked to see them cut the 11:00 min version of free bird for the previously mentiond exclusion and maybe another live track from one more from the road like t for texas or something. but like i said this cd has most anything the casual fan could want and is well worth the buy" Metellica vs Skynrd? J. P. Serres | Seattle WA | 07/22/2007 (5 out of 5 stars) "Why are people writing about Metallica and Skynrd. I bought Kill 'em All on vinyl the year it came out...love it. LA/Bay Area and the South are worlds apart. If you like Skynrd, then this is a great collection. If you don't, why even bother rating the product? Don't be the ignorant fool who says you either like the Beatles or the Stones. Music isn't a mutually exclusive descision. I won't say that someone who rates Appetite for Destruction and Nevermind as the worst albums ever is an idiot, but they are an idiot."
