"I first heard Márta Sebestyén during a 1989 National Public Radio review of her Muzsikas album (Hannibal). I have been a fanatic fan of her music ever since! You may remember Márta Sebestyén's haunting vocals in the film "The English Patient". A good sampling of her music is to be found in her album "The Best Of Márta Sebestyén".In "High Days", Márta Sebestyén beautifully sings Hungarian Christmas folk songs. This album is also listed under the Hungarian title "Jeles Napok".The tracks are:1. Siralmas a világ 2. Betlehem, Betlehem 3. Paradicsom mezeibe 4. Halljátok, új hírt mondok 5. A, a, a 6. A piac közepén 7. Regõsének 8. Jézus az asztalnál 9. Apokrif 10. Betlehem kis falucskábanYou don't have to be Hungarian to enjoy these beautiful Hungarian Christmas folk songs!"

"This beautiful piece of art marked my childhood. When I was a kid my mom played it for me and my sis each X-mas. Brought tears into my eyes when I listened to it 25 yrs later. I highly recommend this to all who loves authentic music from the dawn of history a.d."
