"MC Eiht comes correct again. Since joining the Hoobangin' affiliates, he has produced nothing but quality material, and demonstrated his maturity and longevity. This time around, on "N'My Neighborhood", he's not screaming "Compton" every other song, which means no matter what hood you're from, you can play it loud and enjoy it. This album has it all, bumpin' tracks, sweet lyrics, topics we can all relate to, and guest appearences that leave you begging for more colabortions. All of the tracks stand out. In Git Money, and Tha Hood Is Mine, Techniec almost steals the show, by proving he's every bit as talented as any rapper out there. On From Your Hood To My Hood, Eiht proves it's not where you're from it's where you're at! Till I Die feat. Mack 10, All Around The Hood, with a hidden guest appearence by Binky Mack, and Hold Up, where he delivers a message, don't besurprized, are all great as well. So Ruff, a futuristic track, shows he can flow to music other than gangsta tracks. Must Be Murder, and Lunatic, aren't the typical shoot 'em up kill 'em tracks, so don't let the names fool you. Hood Ratz is kind of a 70's relaxation tune, real ladies won't get offended, and he even says he's loving them, it's a really cool song. Last but not least Once Upon A Time N' The Ghetto, classic MC Ehit. Think back to Hood took Me Under, One Time Gaffeled 'Em Up, Streiht Up Menace, etc. classic Ehit tales from the hood matterial. Worth every penny, and Ehit times as good as anyone else."

"yo wassup well all i can say is this is a phat cd w/ nice ghetto rhymes & tight beats...i think the best track is Hold Up and The Hood Is Mine, however I do like the days of We Come Strapped a little bit better but for real this is a tight cd, hype-ass beats for real...a must for any true MC Eiht fan"

"First of all, I gotta say that "N My Neighborhood" is MC Eiht's best album since "Death Threatz" (released in 1996). This is Eiht's second (and unfortunately last) album on Mack 10's label Hoo Bangin' Records, and it's a huge imrpovement from "Section 8". Don't get me wrong, Section 8 was a good album, but it had a few weak tracks. That's not the case on "N My Neighborhood" - the production is much much better (and harder) and Mc Eiht comes out much better on this one, sounding much more hardcore and kind of hungry. To me , it seems like he put in much more work on this one. The best track is the one most of y'all have heard already "The Hood Is Mine", a song that gots to be in Eiht's top 15 songs. The song also features Long Beach rapper Techniec and also Mack 10 (who only does the hook). The other songs are also great - you get some classic gangsta CPT rap and also a couple of more laid-back, mellower tracks. I only have good things to say about this album. The only guests featured are Techniec, Mack 10 and Binky Mack, and he could've used someone better (like longtime buddy Spice 1), but the truth is, Mc Eiht doesn't need anyone to help him out - he's a legent, one of the truest pioneers of this gangsta rap, and he keeps it real, never ever selling out. This is his best album since the classic "Death Threatz" and the ones before it. Too bad he had to leave Hoo Bangin', because that label had potential, but the label fell appart, things weren't run well... The bottom line is, that if you like MC Eiht's style, you gotta support him, and I'm sure you'll love this album. This is quite close to his mid-90's releases. It's not a 5 stars album, but it's a 4 1/2 start album for sure!"
