"Love this kind of record. My impressions - a guy goes out and buys a couple of hundred bucks of keyboard and sampler. Probably downloads some sequencer software off the internet and just goes at it. It's so lo-fi I expect to hear a track end with the sound of his mum bringing dinner into the bedroom. It's a record of wild mood swings - on the 31(!) tracks here, there's a blizzard of musical styles, from death-metal loops to rave, via dreamy electronica (most of the best tracks - "World in Action", "Caravan", "Sambaesque" - a dead ringer for Four Tet 5 years before the fact) to distorted screams and swear-a-thons. It's so damn creative - making so much out of so little deserves recognition and it's sad this CD gets so little out there.Uneven? Hell, yeah. There's tracks on here that I skip over every time without fail, but considering that lesser artists would have split this much material over three albums, it would be ungraceful to complain. Energy to burn."
