From the South Texas town of Beeville, comes a new addition to the Hacienda family of artists: David Treviño Y Los Tremendos, with their debut CD Mira Luisa. The group is led by bajo sexto player/lead vocalist, David Treviño. Along with his three nephews, Chris Tapia on bass, Joey Perez on drums and Frank Gonzalez, III on accordion, the group has actually been performing together for over 10 years.
Through encouragement from other family members, David Treviño Y Los Tremendos has now taken their music to new levels with the release of their first CD. They are currently performing on a weekly basis in the South Texas area and they are opening for artists such as: La Tropa F, Jaime Y Los Chamacos, and Los Garcia Brothers.
This traditional conjunto is currently receiving airplay on many South Texas radio stations with their first single Mira Luisa. According to the fans of David Treviño Y Los Tremendos, this CD is long overdue, but as they say, Good things are worth waiting for.
Highlights from this CD include: La Bonita Mujer, Si Acaso Vuelves, Que Tal Si Te Compro and, of course, the title song Mira Luisa.
