A Worthy Purchase

"This is music that feels honest, with poetic lyrics and interesting arrangements. The music is sort of folk/pop, and is distinguished from other artists by the integration of folk violin and other interesting twists. There is a good balance of upbeat and slower songs. I do not think Rachael's voice is exceptional, but she sings with enthusiasm and feeling and her music is good enough to stand on its own. I would not hesitate to recommend this CD."
Not as good as the first, but still enjoyable!

"Although "Morbid Romantic" was enjoyable, it was not as spectacular as her first album, "Smashing the Serene." She should stick to her up-beatness in her next CD, the way Smashing the Serene was. I didn't particularly like her soft, almost day-dreamy beats and lyrics. I only liked 4 songs on her track, that I thought was worth listening to: "Souvenier", "Momentary War", "The Spirit We", and "Morbid Romantic." It was still a decent album, but please return to your mix of pop/hip-hop/dance-type songs.Keep entertaning us, Rachael :)"
A great debut from an ever-evolving artist...

"Though released nationwide after her first major release, "Smashing the Serene," "Morbid Romantic" is actually Rachael's first album. It was originally published in 1996. It is a collection of simple, yet beautiful songs. Highlights include "The Spirit We," "Morbid Romantic," and "Souvenir.""
