Amazon.comMacha? Well, they're like Arabian Nights with must-move grooves, or perhaps Cornershop with less of a Beatles jones. Or, maybe not. "Until Your Temples Are Pounding," one of the disc's most intoxicating cuts, seems to cop from both Irish and Indian textures before revving up with heavy metal hugeness. This isn't typical public radio world music, but a refreshing burst of East vs. West engaged in a groovy handshake competition. There's plenty of indigenous instrumentation rubbing up against the usual guitar bass and drums culprits, but it never strays into the wide open fields of overindulgence; Macha tightens the leash on the festivities, reigning in 37 minutes of perfectly digestible fun. Like the psychedelic works of their close pals and fellow Georgians Olivia Tremor Control, every bubble of noise on See It Another Way is carefully planned and cunningly executed. --Jason Josephes
