CD ReviewsGreat James F. Selah | Running Springs Ca | 11/29/2005 (5 out of 5 stars) "This band is one of the best new bands I've heard in a long time.I bought this cd and their dvd The Gathering. They are Progrock at it's best. They sound somewhat like a fuse between Renaisance and Yes.Two of my favorite childhood bands.I had to buy both their cd and dvd from [...] because they wern't available in the us ,so demand them they are worth it.jfs" Stunning! D. Means | Yorktown, VA USA | 05/18/2006 (5 out of 5 stars) "After getting this, at a premium price, I can justify the price. This CD quickly became one of my very favorites out of my entire collection. It's pricey, at least as I write this, but worth it. Hopefully, the price will come down, but if you were to factor in the enjoyment factor vs the price, it would be a pretty good ratio! As another reviewer stated, they have some elements of Renaissance with Annie Haslam (at their best). Also, they remind me a lot of Mostly Autumn. Fans of either of those groups will undoubtedly like this too." Very good R. Glander | Long Island, NY | 11/03/2006 (4 out of 5 stars) "Magenta caught my ear the first time on internet radio. Very Renassiance sounding with a big dose of Genesis and Yes. I was hoping they would not steal too much from Genesis and Yes but after i listened to the cd it was obvious.
I would still recomend to all fans of the genre but don't get to upset if you think they are ripping-off other bands from the past." |
