"I first heard these two master guitarists when they were promoting the album on the Tonight Show in the 1979. It is my recollection that Brown had financial difficulties at the time. Clark was the highest paid performer in country music, and was a fan of Brown. In effort to help out Brown, he cut this album. The result was one of the hottest albums you ever would want to hear. There is no other word to describe this album but Jumping! Country Swing meets Delta Blues! For any fan of this type of music or a fan of fine guitar playing in general... this is a must. (For another great album and another demonstration of Roy Clarks versatility check out "Roy Clark & Joe Pass Play Hank Williams")"

"This unknown gem is truly a musical treat. These two artists take us through a musical buffet that includes country, swing and blues. It is a shame this masterpiece has never recieved the recognition it deserves.Listen to this once and you'll be hooked!"
Its the best of all Gatemouth's recordings!

"Very few people, if anyone, would think a C/W star like Roy Clark and a bluesman like Gatemouth Brown would get together in Tulsa, OK, make an album of such great quaility yet be so diverse in their music genres. If you like a mixture of Texas and Delta Blues with just a bit of Western swing thrown in, this is the best of the best."
Outstanding!!!!!!!!

"Two masters of the strings really show what the instrument can do! Exceptionally clean with no electronics used to enhance the artists true talent. If you liked the "guitar duel" in the movie "Crossroads", this album is for you."
This one puts you in the "party" spirit!

"Whether country, blues, rock, etc. is the type of music you favor, this is one of those upbeat "hard to catogorize" all out fun "party" albums. Not just "talk about at party" or "4:00 in the morning", but the whole album is best enjoyed when you want to get into that "party spirit"... Highly recommended for those who appreciate true works of art!"
