"Man On Fire's second CD finds the band stretching significantly from their debut. The songs are richer, more imaginative and best of all, much more adventurous. The addition of David Ragsdale's (Kansas, Salem Hill) violin really brings a unique dimension to what is a very contemporary sonic palette. While most of the current crop of proggers on the scene today seem content to slavishly recreate the styles made popular in the 70's, Man On Fire has crafted a sound which firmly focuses on both the current musical scene as well as forecasts well into the future. Recommended to fans of Peter Gabriel's solo work, Rush, Kevin Gilbert, Japan, Kansas & William Orbit. Also recommended to lovers of the fretless bass guitar, as the basswork on this CD is absolutely stunning, bringing to mind both Mick Karn and Jaco Pastorius."
