"On the CD "Falta Amor", you can hear the early music of Mana, before the "Suenos Liquidos" craze. This CD has more of a variety of styles, sounds, and instruments. If you are tired of listening to nortenas, rancheras, cumbias, etc. but want to hear Latin music with a kick, any Mana CD will do the trick! Of course when you buy this CD, probably the only song you will recognize is "Rayando el Sol". This is a good song, of course, but listen to the other songs. They all have good sounds and interesting messages. If you are a true fan of Mana and their original blend of sounds, you will enjoy this CD!"
Not Mana's best, but still very good

"I found this CD after hearing almost all of their later works, so this was not their best, but it has a wide range of rock/pop songs. The lyrics range from the ridiculous (Refrigerador, Perdido en un Barco) to the sublime (Falta Amor). If you have never heard Mana, try "Donde Jugaran los Ninos, "Suenos Liquidos," or "Cuando Angeles Lloran." But if you are waiting for their next album and need a Mana fix, go ahead and get it."
To Set the record straight

"This Cd is the first Cd this group made under their new name MANA. It has favorite songs such as perdido en un barco, rayando el sol, estoy agotado, buscandola, falta amor and gitana. All of these songs are now our on their new greatest hits collection called "mana essenciales". I would like to set the record straight in saying that all of these songs do not sound the same,, each one is a different style of music. Also, this group is not four mexicans, one of the aspects of the group that gives it a unique flavor, is the mix of the cuban drummer, the poetic lead singer, and the great guitarists. This CD is a must if wanting to get to know the original MANA."

"SOY UN SEGUIDOR DE LA MUSICA DE MANA DESDE HACE 14 AÑOS CUANDO SALIO ESTE DISCO; RECUERDO COMO ESCUCHABA DE PRINCIPIO A FIN EL CASSETTE QUE GRABE DEL CD. ES UN ECELENTE TRABAJO CON LETRAS FRESCAS Y CANCIONES QUE PEGAN. SALVO SU SEGUNDA PRODUCCION DONDE JUGARAN LOS NIÑOS? PUEDO DECIR QUE NO HAY DISCO QUE SE COMPARE CON ESTE.SI ERES FANATICO DE MANA, COINCIDIRAS QUE ESTE DISCO NO PUEDE FALTAR DENTRO DE COLECCION."

"This CD is what we call an old school great. If you are a true fan of Mana and want a mix of latin rythms with rock en espanol, go for it. As for the people who believe this is not one of their better CDs, they must have jumped on the bandwagon at the wrong time or for the wrong reasons. Their following CD put them on the map, those after that, are still good CDs but lost some of its old school appeal. You can't blame them for trying to capture a different fan base. In either case, they are one of the best latin bands of all time and it appears they will continue to be for a long time."
